Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Austria, Mr. Marcus Kircher, receives students from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam for internship in Austria.

On the afternoon of April 22, 2024, at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV), representatives from the DAV’s Department for Education and Training met with the Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Graz, Austria, Mr. Marcus Kircher, accompanied by lawyer Gregor Kohlbacher and Production Director Armand Rudiger.

During the meeting, both sides shared their views on the necessity of internship programs for Vietnamese students in Austrian enterprises, covering various fields where students from the Diplomatic Academy have advantages. The cooperative relationship between the two sides is deemed highly significant, with the initiative of Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Austria.

After the profile selection process and interviews conducted by the DAV and B4U Company (Austria), Nguyen Minh Huyen, an excellent student currently studying in the International Law Department, Batch 48, has been chosen as the first student to intern at the company in 2024. Under the program, interns will initially work in Vietnam for a period of time before spending approximately three months working directly at the company's headquarters in Graz, Austria.

Mr. Marcus Kircher praised the DAV’s students for their professional competence and language skills throughout the recent application screening rounds and interviews. He expressed his confidence that Nguyen Minh Huyen will successfully complete the internship, deserving to represent the first DAV’s student to receive this valuable internship opportunity.

DAV’s representative sincerely thanked Mr. Marcus Kircher and expressed her hope that this marks a good start for further cooperation between the two sides. In the future, with his special bridging role, Mr. Marcus Kircher introduces more partner companies willing to receive students from the DAV to do their internships at their headquarters in Vietnam or Austria, either on site or on remote base
