On the side of the DAV, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thin - Vice President - hosted the reception for the KPF delegation. Also present were Prof. Nguyen Vu Tung – former Ambassador of Viet Nam to the Republic of Korea and representatives of the Institute for Foreign Policy and Strategic Studies, the Faculty of International Economics, the Faculty of Politics and Diplomacy, the Faculty of Culture and International Communications, and Students of the DAV.
On the side of the KPF, Ambassador Wi Sung Lac - Secretary General - led the delegation, followed by Mr. Lee Hyuk, Former Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Viet Nam, Mr. Jeong Yong Su, News reporter of JoongAng Ilbo newspaper, Mr. An Jung Ho, Ms. Kim Hee Seon, team leader and researcher and 25 students from universities of South Korea.
At the meeting, DAV students and students from 11 Korean universities discussed ways to promote the diplomatic and economic field as well as the cultural exchanges between young people of the two countries. The students discussed enthusiastically about topics of their common interests.
On behalf of the DAV, Vice President Nguyen Thi Thin expressed sincere thanks to the KPF for closely collaborating with the DAV in preparation for this highly-expected dialogue. The participation of Amb. Wi Sung Lac, Amb. Lee Hyuk and the delegation from the KPF is therefore of the great pleasure for the DAV, especially on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam (1959-2024). Vice President Nguyen Thi Thin proposed maintaining annual dialogues between students of the two countries, organized in Viet Nam and South Korea.
On behalf of the KPF, Ambassador Wi Sung Lac thanked for hospitality of the DAV and expressed gratitude for the effective cooperation with the DAV. He highly appreciated the event as part of the educational program for the youth of the two countries.
On the same day, the event was immediately published in JoongAng Ilbo (one of the three largest newspapers in the Republic of Korea)./.
