The Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam and Rajabhat Udon Thani University signed a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation
On the afternoon of December 18, at the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam (DAV), the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation took place between the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam and Rajabhat Udon Thani University (UDRU).
On the side of the DAV, Dr. Pham Lan Dung – Acting President of the DAV chaired the signing ceremony. Also attending were Dr. Vu Tuan Anh - Deputy Head of the Training Department, Head of the Faculty of Communication and Foreign Culture, Mr. Nguyen Tien Cuong - Head of Operations Department, Foset Center and staff of the Information and Documentation Center, International Relations Division. On the side of UDRU University, Prof. Dr. Principal Khanisara Thanyasunthornsakun chaired the signing ceremony with the participation of senior UDRU officials.
Rajabhat University Udon Thani is a school dating back more than 100 years in Thailand, famous for its long history, quality of education and training as well as being a symbol of Thai education for generations. UDRU is also known as one of the fastest growing universities in Thailand, with more than 12,000 domestic and international students. Udon Thani is a strategic province for economic development in Northeast Thailand. In 2023, Udon Thani will be the 3rd province in the country to welcome senior leaders of visiting countries including major countries such as the US, Japan, Korea, Vietnam...
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Udon Thani University, the school's Principal Khanisara Thanyasunthornsakun shared about the establishment of the International Academy in the school's development strategy to meet the needs of local human resource development. At the same time, the school will open a number of additional training majors such as international business English, international business law, international trade law... The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding is to meet the needs of both sides in expanding cooperation and improving the quality of training and fostering foreign affairs officials. It will also contribute to strengthening of cooperative relationship between the two countries in all fields.
In the coming years, DAV and UDRU will coordinate to implement the following activities: a) Exchange information on curricula related to the application of modern teaching and training methods for the diplomatic sector and young diplomatic officials; b) Encourage the development of training in the fields of public diplomacy, science and digital diplomacy; c) Advise each other on developing and improving online learning tools, especially private computer networks, online training platforms and other similar tools; d) Exchange relevant documents and information, such as publications and databases, and promote joint publications on topics of common interest; e) Organize face-to-face and online joint conferences and seminars with the participation of experts and students of the Participating Parties; f) Facilitate the exchange of professors, lecturers, experts and researchers in fields of mutual interest.
