


As part of the "Knowledge and Skills Training for Public Officials Working on International Integration for the 2021-2025 Period" project approved by the Prime Minister, from October 22-23 in Hanoi, the Department of Foreign Service Training, Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam organized an advanced training program on international integration for 50 Department- level officials and equivalent of ministries, agencies an dother public bodies.

It was the eighth consecutive year when the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam organized this advanced training program. As one of key items of the project, the course curriculum was carefully designed with a focus on essential knowledge and skills for department-level officials in the context of extensive international integration process. Subjects included strategic think tanks on foreign affairs and international cooperation; the role of communication in the context of international integration; new economic models contributing to Viet Nam's sustainable growth and development; skills for organizing and moderating international conferences and workshops to affirm Viet Nam's international role and position.

Trainers who shared their insights during the training course were all veteran diplomats and leading experts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and related agencies in the field of external relations and international integration.
As officials with hands-on experience on think tanks, making and pursuing foreign and international integration policies for ministries and agencies, the trainees proactively and responsibly engaged themselves into the course’s subjects and raised practical issues directly associaited with their daily work for discussion.

The training course also provided an opportunity for participants to make connections through networking and strengthen relationships among agencies, thus facilitating future exchanges and work coordination.
Upon the course completion, participants gave their feedback with appreciation of the trainers’ expertise, the useful and practical course curriculum as well as the professional organization of the training course.
Mr. Chu Van Khanh, Deputy Chief of Office, Department of Judicial Support, Ministry of Justice, extended their thanks with appreciation, on behalf of the participants to the team of experts, trainers and organizers at the Department of Foreign Service Training, Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam. Last but not least, he expressed their hope for future opportunities to attend advanced training courses on foreign affairs knowledge and skills.
