Annual dialogue between the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and the Shanghai Institute of International Studies (SIIS)

On the afternoon of September 11th, 2019, at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, Dr. Le Hai Binh, Vice President of the Academy, chaired the academic exchange with the Shanghai Institute of International Studies (SIIS). This is an annual dialogue between the Diplomatic Academy and the Shanghai Institute of International Studies, one of China's leading think-tanks on international relations. Attending the seminar were advisors, researchers, lecturers from faculties of the Academy and staff of the Chinese Embassy in Hanoi.

The content of the meeting revolved around: (i) Changing the international situation and Vietnam-China relations in the new era: Opportunities and challenges; (ii) Vietnam - China economic cooperation and each country's views on regional integration and unification. The conversation took place vigorously and substantially. This time, besides the annual dialogue with the Diplomatic Academy, the delegation also visited and worked in Ho Chi Minh City to exchange expertise with Vietnamese research institutes and work with the Foreign Policy Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.
