Economist Up 2024 Competition - Integration Journey is advancing to the Semi-Final Round, featuring the top 8 exceptional teams.

The Economist Up Competition - Integration Journey, which was first organized in 2023 with the attention and support from Ministries, Departments, Sectors and prestigious partners, attracted the participant of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam’s students, and became the pioneering academic competition in the economic sector under the vision of “Economic Integration”. The first season has achieved certain achievements. The champion team’s project was proposed for cooperation by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ben Tra province, and won the prize in the Final Round of the 25th EURÉKA Scientific Research Student Awards in 2023. 

Following the success of the first season, the Faculty of International Economics is enthusiastic about extending the competition's practical and positive impact. This extension aims not only to engage students within the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam but also to reach out to students passionate about fields such as import-export, business, and entrepreneurship in Hanoi. With the theme “Elevating Vietnam’s Agriculture Values”, the Economist Up 2024 - Integration Journey returns with a fresh perspective and broadens its reach throughout the city. The competition aims to provide an enriching and captivating platform for students,  helping them to enhance their knowledge and skills in the import-export fields through implementing a project of exporting an agricultural product, thereby promoting the presence of Vietnamese agricultural products on the global market.

As of now, the competition has surpassed its midway point, having progressed from the Preliminary Round, where 50 outstanding competitors were selected, to the Semi-Final Round. This stage features the participation of 16 teams, representing not only the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam but also other esteemed universities in Hanoi, such as the Foreign Trade University, the Banking Academy of Vietnam, the National Economics University, and the University of Economics and Business - Vietnam National University. A fair judging panel includes both the competition’s Advisory Board and guest judges who are lecturers from various universities in Hanoi. 

The competition is now officially entering the Semi-Final Round to find out the Top 4 most outstanding teams. This will be a precious opportunity for participating teams to embark on the realization of their “Integration Journey”. These teams will present their creative concepts directly and have the opportunity to receive feedback and address questions from the Judging Panel. This exchange enables them to refine their products further and advance to the Final Round of the competition.

The Competition’s Organizing Committee eagerly expects to receive enthusiastic attention and participation from a multitude of audiences who have been following the Competition since its inception.
