Interface session between the Secretary General of ASEAN and ASEAN youth

The interface session between the Secretary General of ASEAN and ASEAN youth will be held in both face-to-face at the Diplomatic Academy and connect online with youth from member countries in the region and 67 regional bridges from provinces and youth unions throughout Vietnam. This is one of the notable highlights of the AFF Forum 2024 when youth representatives from ASEAN member countries have the opportunity to share views and contribute to the development of decisive strategies and policies which determine the future development and growth of ASEAN.

The session will take place with the participation of Mr. Kao Kim Hourn - Secretary General of ASEAN; Mr. Do Hung Viet - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, ASEAN SOMY Leader of Viet Nam; Miss Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien - Miss Grand International, a typical Vietnamese young face representing Vietnamese youth speaking at the session; Ambassadors of ASEAN countries and Timor Leste, representatives of the Central Youth Union, ASEAN Embassies in Hanoi, youth representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives University union members in Hanoi and students of the Diplomatic Academy. 

In addition, delegates attending the interface session along with Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son will attend the inauguration ceremony of ASEAN Square, an important symbol of ASEAN cooperation and the role of ASEAN youth in shaping the future of the region.
