On 24 June 2026, the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam (DAV) and Bao Tin Manh Hai Gold, Silver and Gemstone Joint Stock Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking the beginning of a new phase of cooperation between academia and industry. The partnership aims to leverage the respective strengths of both institutions in cultivating high-quality human resources, supporting students' career development, and promoting Vietnamese cultural values in the context of international integration.

The signing ceremony was attended, on behalf of DAV, by Dr. Nguyen Thi Thin, Vice President of the Academy, together with representatives of the Academy's faculties and functional departments. Representing Bao Tin Manh Hai were Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, Chief Executive Officer, along with senior representatives from the Company's specialized divisions.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thin highlighted the strong alignment between DAV and Bao Tin Manh Hai in their long-term development visions, particularly their shared commitment to nurturing high-quality human resources and promoting Vietnamese values on the international stage. She noted that DAV has consistently pursued excellence in education in accordance with international standards, as reflected in its successful accreditation of academic programmes under the FIBAA quality assurance framework, with outstanding results across numerous evaluation criteria. Building upon this foundation, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thin emphasized that strengthening partnerships with the business community has become one of the Academy's strategic priorities. Such cooperation helps bridge academic training with practical requirements, enabling students to gain early exposure to professional working environments while pursuing their studies

Speaking on behalf of the Company, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong expressed her strong support for the partnership with DAV and reaffirmed Bao Tin Manh Hai's aspiration to accompany and empower the younger generation. She stressed that, beyond its commercial activities, the Company remains committed to preserving and promoting Vietnamese cultural heritage through the gold, silver and gemstone industry - an industry deeply rooted in the nation's history, identity and traditional craftsmanship. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, collaboration with higher education institutions represents an effective mechanism for connecting businesses with academia in developing future talent, equipping students with practical professional skills and enhancing their capacity to thrive in an increasingly globalized environment.

During the ceremony, the two sides exchanged views on a number of concrete areas of cooperation to be implemented in the coming period. Bao Tin Manh Hai plans to establish an internship programme specifically designed for DAV students, featuring a transparent evaluation framework and direct mentorship from experienced professionals, thereby providing students with valuable practical experience in a professional corporate environment. In addition, the Company proposed working with DAV to develop a diplomatic protocol and business etiquette training programme for its staff, with a view to strengthening corporate professionalism and enhancing the international profile of Vietnamese enterprises.

Representatives from DAV's academic units also expressed their readiness to translate the MoU into substantive collaborative activities. Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong, Dean of the Faculty of International Economics, noted that the proposed initiatives are both practical and highly feasible, particularly as the Academy continues to strengthen engagement with the business sector in order to narrow the gap between academic education and labour market demands.

Dr. Nguyen Dong Anh, Acting Dean of the Faculty of International Communication and Culture, likewise highlighted significant potential for cooperation across various academic modules, particularly in entrepreneurship, international communication and innovation. He suggested that Bao Tin Manh Hai could serve as a strategic industry partner, contributing professional expertise that would further enhance the practical relevance of the Academy's educational programmes.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding marks an important milestone in establishing a comprehensive partnership between the DAV and Bao Tin Manh Hai Gold, Silver and Gemstone Joint Stock Company in the areas of education, human resource development and the integration of academic knowledge with professional practice.

Guided by a shared vision and common values, both parties expressed their confidence that the partnership will generate a wide range of meaningful collaborative initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of educational quality, expanding development opportunities for students, and supporting the cultivation of high-quality human resources to serve Viet Nam's sustainable development and international integration./.
