US National Security Advisor talk to students of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam
On the morning of November 22, the US National Security Advisor Robert C. O’Brien visited and talked with Diplomatic Academy students at the Government Guest House. The talk was attended by delegates, representatives from the US Embassy in Vietnam, and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam and officials, lecturers and students of the Diplomatic Academy.
Addressing opening remarks, Acting Director of the Diplomatic Academy Dr. Pham Lan Dung expressed her pleasure to welcome the delegation of the US National Security Adviser to visit and talk with lecturers, researchers and students of the Vietnam Diplomatic Academy.
In addition, the US National Security Advisor also deeply appreciated Vietnam's efforts in the ASEAN chair, especially the achievements of Vietnam in the response and prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic. Mr. O’Brien affirmed that Vietnam is one of the important partners of the US in its efforts to promote peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. In the future, the United States will continue to maintain and strengthen bilateral cooperation with Vietnam in many fields, working closely to maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea and the Mekong region.
After the speech, Mr. O’Brien directly answered questions from the staff, lecturers and students of the Diplomatic Academy as well as the press and media.
