✨ Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong - Dean of the Faculty of International Economics
The workshop also welcomed a large number of students from the Faculty.
During her remarks, Ambassador Tao Thi Thanh Huong shared profound perspectives on diplomacy - an area that requires a balanced combination of courage, intellect, and compassion. She emphasized four fundamental pillars of a modern diplomat: personal qualities, professional knowledge, career skills, and planning - implementation capacity. According to the Ambassador, those working in foreign affairs must maintain strong political integrity, absolute loyalty to national interests, and uphold ethics, responsibility, and honesty.
She further underscored the necessity of a comprehensive knowledge base in economics, politics, culture, international law, and foreign languages as essential foundations for diplomatic work. The Ambassador also highlighted the importance of soft skills - from communication, negotiation, and writing to adaptability in multicultural environments - as key factors enabling diplomats to build trust and represent the nation’s image abroad.

A lively Q&A session between the Ambassador and students concluded the workshop in a warm and open atmosphere. Questions on career opportunities, political competence, negotiation skills, and work-life balance were addressed with practical, relatable, and inspiring examples. Students gained not only new knowledge but also clearer direction for their future development.
Closing the event, the Ambassador left students with a resonant message:
“Success will come to you if you have the right plan and the determination to see it through.”
Her words, shaped by years of experience and dedication, inspired perseverance, responsibility, and self-confidence among participants. Workshop FOIEvolution 05 not only deepened students’ understanding of their chosen career path but also nurtured pride, determination, and aspiration to contribute to the country - core qualities of the next generation of diplomats.
The Faculty of International Economics sincerely thanks Ambassador Tao Thi Thanh Huong for her heartfelt, insightful, and inspiring sharing during the workshop. Her valuable lessons and experiences will continue to serve as meaningful guidance and motivation for students in their academic and personal development journey. We wish the Ambassador good health, happiness, and continued success in her future endeavors.
