Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam awarded the decision to appoint the Professor title to The Dean of the Faculty of International Economics

The ceremony was attended by:

- From the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs 

- From the Academy: Amb. Dr. Pham Lan Dung - Acting President of the Academy, Dr. Nguyen Hung Son - Vice President of the Academy, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thin – Vice President of the Academy; along with representatives of the Academy Council of Professors in the year 2023, heads of 15 units under the Academy, President of the Trade Union and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.

- From the Faculty of International Economic: Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong - Vice Dean of the Faculty of International Economic, Amb. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Lich, Amb. Tao Thi Thanh Huong, along with lecturers and staffs of the Faculty of International Economic.

The ceremony commenced with the announcement of the Ceremony of Decision on Recognizing the title of Professor and the award of the Decision to appoint the Professor Title to Assoc. Prof. Dang Hoang Linh. This marks an immensely proud moment for the Faculty of International Economics specifically and the Academy as a whole.

Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang conveyed her joy and emphasized that this event proves that the quality of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam's lecturers is increasingly improving and she hopes that the Academy will have more Associate Professors and Professors in the future. 

On behalf of the Faculty of International Economics and lecturers of the Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Lich also extended his congratulations for Prof. Dr. Dang Hoang Linh on his new position. He shared that after over 45 years since its establishment, for the first time, the Faculty of International Economics now boasts its first Professor. Within just over a decade since joining the department as a new lecturer, Dr. Dang Hoang Linh has strived to become the youngest professor at the Academy, recognized by the State Council for Professors. This serves as a shining example for the younger generation of Faculty and the Academy, motivating them to pursue the noble profession of teaching. He emphasized that Prof. Dr. Dang Hoang Linh is the clearest example for the lecturer quality from the Faculty of International Economics - passionate and dedicated educators and researchers, always eager to contribute more to the national education career.

In response to the well-wishes from the leaders of Ministry, the Academy, and colleagues in the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Dang Hoang Linh conveyed his speech: "I am deeply moved by the great honor bestowed upon me by the leaders of the Ministry, the Academy, the Party, awarding me this title on a special day like today. Thank you to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam, the Ministry's leaders, the Academy's leaders, teachers and my colleagues for always supporting, nurturing, and creating the best conditions for me to develop and achieve this prestigious title. No matter where I am, I will always consider the Academy as my home, where I have beloved brothers and sisters who support me wholeheartedly."

Throughout his time with the Department and the Academy, Prof. Dr. Dang Hoang Linh has continuously made notable contributions and achieved significant accomplishments in the fields of education and scientific research, with diverse academic and work experience:

- PhD in Economic Geography - Leibniz Universitaet Hannover, Federal Republic of Germany;

- Lecturer at the Faculty of International Economics - Diplomatic Academy (2010-2012);

- Deputy Dean of the Faculty of International Economics - Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (2012 - 2019)

- Dean of the Faculty of International Economics - Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (since 2019);

- Deputy Head of the Training Department - Diplomatic Academy (2022 - present).

In addition, he has published numerous outstanding scientific research articles in domestic and international journals, implemented practical projects contributing to the development of Vietnam's policies, and published many specialized books and textbooks, providing high-quality materials for teaching and learning at the Academy.

Congratulations to Prof. Dr. Dang Hoang Linh. In his new position, it is hoped that Prof. Dr. Dang Hoang Linh will continue to be more successful in his research and teaching career, dedicating tirelessly to the diplomacy sector, and contributing to the future development of the country. He is the inspiration, a role model for generations of students at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam to follow.
